Last week, the Nichols Library looked at new crime films and fiction from Britain. Now, here are some of the latest from our own backyard. Unlike leisurely style of British mysteries, these are fast paced tales that stress suspense over clues and attitude over character. The selections include stories by past-masters (Michael Connelley, Patricia Cornwell, Elmore Leonard), promising newcomers (Taylor Stevens and Sebastian Rotella) and the usual suspects from the best-seller list.
