The Nichols Library’s ‘Got Game’

The NBA finals are coming and so are good books and films on basketball.  In The Book of Book of Basketball by ESPN sports guy Bill Simmons makes his case  for the “secret” to NBA success, then  rates ninety-six of greatest to play the game.   Along the way he addresses old controversies and argues which  team was truly the best of all time.  Also on hand:  Celtics history and legends,  classic sports films like  Hoosiers and He’s Got Game, even a hoops mystery (Playmates by Robert B. Parker).
