“Don’t know much about History..”

School’s back in session! Time to put on the ol thinking cap and read some…history !    Last Call by Daniel  Orkant recounts what happened when the US outlawed alcohol (the 20’s version of the  ‘war on drugs’).  Wilderness Warrior by Douglass Brinkley tells how Republican President  Theodore Roosevelt helped jump start the conservation movement.  Fur, Fortune and Empire by Eric Dolen explains why a  beaver might be a more fitting national symbol for America than the  bald eagle.   And in A Nation Rising, Kenneth Davis looks at the “hidden history”  of the newly-founded United States.
