Did you know?

wenc3Boxing Day is the day after Christmas, which was traditionally a time for giving alms & gifts to the needy. Metal boxes were placed outside churches to collect offerings, hence the name.  The carol “Good King Wenceslas” tells how he braved snow and cold to bring alms on the ‘Feast of  Stephen,’ which coincides with Boxing Day.
