Taking part in CH’s annual 4th of July footrace?  You can register online here.   Participants can use our library’s computer workstations to register  (live help from our friendly staff  as needed) needed.  Online registration ends at noon on July 3rd (late participants can register on race day for $30).   The kids race starts at 9am; the 5K & 2K races at 10am.  Parks and Rec Director Sandy Frost  is also looking for a few volunteers to help with race day registrations, passing out water during the race and other needed tasks.  If you’d like to help, please do check-in here.

Other Independence Day events in CH include the parade ( 2pm), town band concert (7pm@the bandshell) and fireworks (9:15pm @the town docks).  Our rain date for the concert and fireworks is July 5th.
