Cross-grained & Wily Waters by Jeffrey Bolster presents a guide to the Piscataqua maritime region. Also recently added:  Diners of NH, Country Stores of NH and One-Room Schoolhouses  of NH, the last volumes of Bruce Heald’s series on NH history.  Mr. Heald, who had written over 40 books on the history of the lakes region and White Mountains, passed away on May 2nd of this year.  A native of Needham, Mass, he pursued a musical education and went on to teach music at Inter-Lakes, Moultonborough Academy. He also taught history for over twenty years at the Immaculate Conception Apostolic School and was an Adjunct Professor of History at Plymouth State. Bruce worked aboard the M/S Mount Washington Cruise Ship as the Chief Purser for over fifty years. And still found time to write all those books.
