Too cool for school

Here is a link to an interesting article about young authors who have shunned academic careers but are writing top notch and very readable histories.  Good enough to crack the bestseller lists.  Case in point: Dan Jones, who has written on The Plantagenets, The War of the Roses and, most recently, the Magna Carta.
