In Where My Heart used to Beatby Sebastain Faulks, World War II veteran accesses painful memories of a wartime romance. The quality of silence by Rosamund  Lupton is “a taut psychological thriller.” The Queen of the Night by Alexander Chee,  a singer discovers that her starring role in the new opera she asked to star in  retells her scandalous past. In The Forgotten Room by Karen White. Karen White, Beatriz Williams, and Lauren Willig collaborate on a story about a woman doctor who is drawn into a complex mystery that connects three generations of women in her family.  Finally, these two stories by Beatrizz Williams (The Infinite Sea) are worth a look. In Tiny Little Thing , Tiny and Frank Hardcastle  are the ultimate power couple. But Franks plans may thwarted by arrival of three unwelcome visitors at their Cape Cod retreat.   In  The Secret life of Violet Grant, the niece of a scientist missing for 50 years receives a valise that could unlock the mystery of her aunt’s 1914 disappearance.
