rulesThe Serengeti Rules by Sean Carroll is an attempt to show how in an ecosystem life works.   H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald tells how a woman and her trained raptor “discover the pain and beauty of being alive” (People).  The Informant by Kurt Eichenwald unveils a whistle blower who turned out to be a grafter.   The Silk Roads by Peter Frankopan (now on CD as well as in print) tells how the trade routs between east and west provide the key to understanding our history.
