Puzzles, not perplexities

musicReaders preferring puzzles to perplexities might enjoy new mysteries by Peter Robinson and Paul Doiron.  In ‘When the Music’s Over”, Robinson’s  Inspector Banks must deal with two assault cases, a new case which is racially charged and a cold case from the 60s.  In the “Widowmaker”, Doiron’s    warden Mike Bowditch helps find a young man who has disappeared in the Widowmaker ski area, where Mike’s late father (a notorious poacher) once worked.
