Memorial Day is a week away and we have already had a taste of summer heat, so it’s a good thing that the 2017 summer beach reads are arriving at NL. The Forever Summer by Jamie Brenner reprises the multi-generational Cape House drama. Only this time, the secrets revealed are from DNA! Slightly South of Simple by Kristy Woodson sets the scene down south, on to the waterfront of mythical Peachtree Bluff. Stand alone thrillers are also good summer fare–not as compulsive as a series. In The Red Hunter by Lisa Unger is “twisty and turny and all the things this genre should be” (Kirkus Reviews). In A Single Spy by William Christie, is “spy fiction of the highest order” (Bookish).
