Our Real-Life Reads discussion of  Five Days at Memorial by Sheri Fink will be on Wednesday, August 30th at noon ain the library meeting room.   Bring a brown bag lunch and your good selves  to discuss what happened when a natural disaster overwhelmed an urban hospital.  Author Fink “trained physician turned journalist, is able to re-create in minute detail the sights, smells and sounds of Memorial” (USA Today).   We still have two copies available for anyone who wants to join or just have a really good book for the weekend.
