In “The Temptation of Forgiveness” by Donna Leon, Inspector Brunetti is flummoxed when the father of a teen he is helping dies suspiciously.” Brunetti’s investigative methods are drolly amusing” (NYT).  Macbeth by Jo Nesbo, sets Shakespeare’s drama in a declining town riven with gang warfare, drug addiction and corruption.  Scandi-Noir meets the classics.
