Just in: family flicks

coco.jpg “Wonder, ” based on a story by R. J. Palacio, is about a boy with a a facial disorder whose parents (Owen Wilson, Julia Roberts)  decide, after years of homeschooling, to enroll him in a mainstream school.  Everybody is just going to have to  learn to cope. At the end of the day, “this little movie isn’t really about a kid with a facial disorder, but about whatever you and I choose to see in it” Village Voice”. “Coco” by Pixar animation is about a young boy who dreams of becoming a musician despite his family’s disapproval.  When Miguel is magically transported to the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead,  he meets charming trickster who joins him in a journey. “This is a smart and enduring piece of storytelling’ (Globe and Mail).
