In “Black Panther” T’Challa (the Marvel super hero) returns to his homeland to be crowned king but finds his sovereignty challenged by a new adversary. Along with the striking visuals and action sequences, director Ryan Coogler has added a layer of provocative premises touching on isolationism, revolution and cultures of oppression. In other fantasy-adventure DVDs, the heroine of “I Kill Giants” is a teenage obsessed Dungeons & Dragons. Her friends think she is a little strange….until she confronts a real giant. In “Maze Runner: the Death Cure”, our teen heroes must penetrate a dangerous labyrinth. “Annihilation” (Natalie Portman) is a sci-fi drama about a team of scientists who enter a mysterious quarantined zone. And “Star Wars: the Last Jedi”, continues Rey’s quest to become a Jedi.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-2, someone will be in the library to answer the phone and fill all received requests to be placed in the Curbside Bin. The building currently remains closed to the public.

A Message from the Nichols Library Board of Trustees
January 4, 2021
We are reviewing recommendations issued by the State of New Hampshire and “best practices” put forth by the State Library to ascertain how to best serve the public while providing a safe workplace for our employees. We are being careful and thoughtful as we move towards reopening our Library. Hopefully, this will happen in the near future on a limited basis. Your continuing patience and understanding is much appreciated.
We welcome hearing from you during these challenging times. Please feel free to email the Trustees at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Library at 603-253-6950 with your ideas, comments and suggestions about reopening.
