Indie Flick

bredThoroughbreds”, a black comedy about teens gone rogue.   Two childhood friends, Lily and Amanda, reconnect in an upscale Connecticut suburb.  Lily has turned into a polished prep; Amanda, a social outcast.  The pair bonds, however, over Lily’s contempt for her overbearing stepfather.  As their friendship re-kindles, they begin to bring out each others destructive tendencies, eventually hiring a local hustler to deal with Lily’s stepfather problem. This is a “wickedly dark little confection” (Atlantic).  A companion piece to this DVD would be I, Tonya, a real life story about girls behaving badly.
