A tongue-in-cheek spellbinder

  • winter “Winter in Paradise” by Elin Hilderbrand  is a tale of light-heated suspense.  A woman learns that her husband has died while on a trip to St Johns.  She flies down to retrieve his remains, only to make another shocking discovery: her husband had a secret second family.   Like this summer’s “The Perfect Couple’, Hidlerbrand plays the situation for smiles, not drama. “The (upcoming)  holidays wouldn’t be complete without a little family dysfunction, and Hilderbrand writes it well” (Library Journal).
