Showtime 1 (drama)

 Just in at are movie adaptations of 2 bestsellers.  “Bel Canto” (Ann Patchett) is a drama about a hostage standoff.   The Children Act” (Ian McEwan) is about a teen’s right to end life trial.  “BlacKkKlansman” is a Spike Lee joint about an Afro-American  cop who infiltrates the Klan (true story).

More DVDds: “Mile 22” and “Damascus Cover” are straight up spy thrillers.  “Arizona” is black comedy about a guy who loses his home and loses it.  “Ant-Man and the Wasp” serves up more Marvel Comic action.   “HotelArtemis” is a futuristic drama about a secret hospital for criminals.  “The Catcher was a Spy” is the unlikely but true story of a ballplayer  (Paul Rudd) who became an OSS agent  during WWII.
