DVD Rhapsody

IMG-1891 “Bohemian Rhapsody” salutes Freddie Mercury (b. Farrohk Bulsara), the proverbial ugly duckling (introverted, non-native, bisexual) who transformed himself into a rock swan.  Sacamouche!  “First Man”, directed by Damien Chazelle (La La Land), salutes Neil Armstrong, the  first man on the moon.  “The Old Man & the Gun” features Robert Redford as true-life criminal and escape artist Forrest Tucker.  In “The Hate u Give’,  a black student torn  between the rich prep school she attends and her neighborhood.   In ‘What they Had”, a young woman returns her Chicago home to help her brother deal with her ailing mother. In The Equalizer 2,  Denzel Washington reprises his role as a remorseless vigilante. Gosnell dramatizes the infanticide trial of the titular Doctor.
