More real-world drama

tatRising on the book-club circuit is ‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz” by Heather Morris. The story is based on the experiences of Lale Sokolov, a Slovakian Jew who is put to work as a laborer in Auschwitz-Birkenau .   In the much-anticipated “Huntress” by Kate Quinn (“The Alice Network”), a battle-scared journalist and a Russian pilot join forces to track a Nazi war criminal gone to ground in America. “The Secret of Clouds” by Alyson Richman  (“The Lost Wife”) is the story of a Russian couple who flee Russia when a tragedy befalls their native Kiev.  Set in the 1920s, “The Collector’s Apprentice’ by B. A. Shapiro is the story of a young Parisian who takes on a new identity to escape her tainted past.  Hired as an assistant to an art collector, she find herself in the midst of  a dizzying world of bohemians and wealthy buyers.
