We just just celebrated a new record for book deliveries last week. Most of what was received were novels books and DVDs, but that is only the beginning of what the state van service bring for you. Have a school paper or an adult education project? We can help. Last fall, we got four books on Christopher Columbus for a school paper. Are you home-schooling your kids? We may be able to help you get materials for assignments. Want to look into the latest in diet and nutritional trends? Look no further. Visually impaired? We can get books on audio CD. We can find copies of out of print books, such as the books on arctic exploration and Israeli history that we found for a patron last year. Want to back-track to the beginning of a crime series character? We can do it. Because the van service picks up books from our state universities, we have been able to get scholarly studies ranging from drawing techniques to Mahayana Buddhism. Many libraries also share their DVD collections, so our borrowers have been able to get popular TV series, film classics and indie rarities. And if your tastes run to fiction, we can get anything from Zane Grey to Graham Greene. There is a lot out there that we can bring to you. All you have to do is ask.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-2, someone will be in the library to answer the phone and fill all received requests to be placed in the Curbside Bin. The building currently remains closed to the public.

A Message from the Nichols Library Board of Trustees
January 4, 2021
We are reviewing recommendations issued by the State of New Hampshire and “best practices” put forth by the State Library to ascertain how to best serve the public while providing a safe workplace for our employees. We are being careful and thoughtful as we move towards reopening our Library. Hopefully, this will happen in the near future on a limited basis. Your continuing patience and understanding is much appreciated.
We welcome hearing from you during these challenging times. Please feel free to email the Trustees at email@example.com or call the Library at 603-253-6950 with your ideas, comments and suggestions about reopening.
