Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham is a “masterful nonfiction thriller” that delivers a blow-by-blow account of worst nuclear disaster of the nuclear era. He also takes us through the causes and consequences. A worthy substitute for those who cant see the impressive HBO series on the disaster. “Station Blackout” by Charles Castro does the same job for the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan
