A welcome return of three ongoing crime series. The Siberian Dilemma by Martin Cruz Smith, finds Inspector Arkady Renko (Gorky Park) Siberia where a search for a missing journalist finds him involved in a dissient campaign. In Angel Eyes by Ace Atkins, Robert Parker’s Spenser travels to LA on a missing person’s case that will shake up Tinseltown. In The Old Success by Martha Grimes, Richard Jury investigates the odd death of a Parisian tourist in Cornwall (fun fact: each of the Jury stories is named after a pub). These are all excellent series that are worth going back and reading from the start.
