Copies of the Nichols Book Café’s March read, Snow by Orthan Pamuck, are here and ready to take out.  Pamuck is a Turkish novelist and screenwriter, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2006.  Snow (Kar) is about a middle-aged poet who returns to Istanbul to attend his mother’s funeral.  He is disturbed when he learns about a wave of suicides among girls forbidden to wear their head scarves at school.
