Send us your requests and we will check them out and bag them up for you to pick up. We will be circulating books between 10am and 2pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
How to Make Requests. The best way to place a request is to reserve a book using your account on our online catalog. Login with your last name and library card number (if you don’t know your card number, contact us). We will be checking daily for new requests. When your requests have been checked out, you will get an automatic notification by email. The library staff will also be monitoring email and phone-in requests. Place your requests at least a day in advance to give us time to get your order ready.
Picking up Your Requests. Loans that are ready for pick up will be put in clean bags with your name attached and placed on the stone benches in front of the library for pickup. For everyone’s safety, please wear a mask and practice social distancing when picking up materials.
What If You Can’t Pick Up Your Bag? Any bags that have not been claimed by the end of the day will be brought back inside and put out for the next pickup period. Items that have not been claimed within a week’s time will be checked back in. If you cannot get to the library during scheduled pickup times, contact us. We will see if we can something out for you.
How Many Items Can I Borrow? Patrons are asked to limit themselves to 3 new books and 3 new DVDs when making requests. Otherwise, you may borrow freely. If you are not sure what you want to read or watch, you can send us an email or call. We would be happy to help by making recommendations.
What Happens During Bad Weather? On rainy days, we will schedule pick-up times at 15 minute intevals, so you can safely come up the library steps to get your items. We will put your bags outside at the appointed time.
Safety First. To make sure our library materials are as safe as possible for your use, all items that are returned to the library are being quarantined, then wiped down before being re-shelved. Library staff on duty are wearing face masks while handling materials and frequently washing hands and cleaning surfaces.
