NH Librarians present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

The NH library community has mounted a video production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Nights Dream. Librarian’s from around the state divided up the parts and read one of The Bard’s most delightful comedies.

Written just after Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare was still weting about love, but this time, he focused on its follies. Bewitched by the impish Puck, lovers fall in and out of love. And tradesman Nick Bottom, read byCH librarian Jon Kinnaman, is turned into an ass and becomes love at first sight for a bewitched fairy queen.

Paula McKinley of the Minot Sleeper Library in Bristol conceived and organized the project. Says McKinley, “ I sent an email out on Friday and by the end of the day, most of the parts were cast. Librarians came together to support the whole NH community”.
